Tensile Waste Buildings
Collinson tensile structures can offer a practical solution to waste management and recycling.
The heavy-duty PVC-coated cover hides processing from view and buildings can incorporate a dual-skin system to prevent unpleasant odours escaping into the surrounding environment. At up to 100m clear-span and any height, the buildings can be used to process any kind of waste - from paper and plastic to metal and composting (both aerobic or anaerobic). An inner liner can also be fitted to protect the framework from aggressive environments.
Features:
- Steel framework is supplied shot blasted and epoxy painted to provide a completely smooth finish for tensioning the membrane over.
- Epoxy painted steel frame is not prone to react with aggressive environments such as compost or waste material as happens with galvanised steel.
- For applications that specifically require it, hot dip galvanised frames are available.
- Dual skin system to protect steel frame and stop vapours/gases escaping.
- An inner liner can be installed inside the building to protect steelwork from agressive materials such as compost and raw materials.
- Pressurised void between outer/inner skins
- Tensile cover is available in a range of colours to blend in with site requirements
- Minimal foundation requirements
- Rapid deployment of the buildings reduces overall project costs
